THE
THREE COMPASSES

WE ARE THE FIRST PARANORMAL GROUP TO INVESTIGATE HERE.
THE THREE COMPASSES  17th NOVEMBER 2006

TV/Darts Room. 12.45am

Lee calls out to spirit, he can see cattle in a shed, lots of light anomalies caught on camera. A
young ma aged about 18/19 wearing a flat cap and cream/black tank top, slim in build 5’10 in height.
Name of Thomas Lewis Evans. Passed in a farming accident. Lee can see a tractor pulling
ploughing machinery, the young man got caught up in this machinery. The land would have been in
the vicinity of this pub. The boy is not grounded comes in visitation but not very often.
A dog runs in a collie x breed with one ear up and left ear constantly bent over, sandy in colour.
The dogs name is Cecil and a year of 1878. He has been seen and heard running around.
Whispering is heard by Jeannette, Lee, Helen and Jan, but we don’t know who it is.
EVP tried but nothing.
Lee is getting a build up of pressure to the head and Jan’s legs are freezing cold.
A lady in spirit comes forward; she looks petrified, petite build, grey hair unkempt and frizzy, eyes
look frightened. She is bewildered, the year 1955.  She passed with Alzheimer’s in 1955. Andrea
Jenkins, she did not live here, her husband used to drink here, Thomas Jenkins. She was
neglected in the later part of her illness, having to fend for herself as best she could she was only
62 when she passed. She is grounded as she still looks for her husband, she is angry with him.
She wants to confront him for his selfish ways whilst she had needed him during her illness and he
done what he wanted instead. A knocking sound is heard.
Lee is feeling warm, perfume would have been smelt in unusual areas around the pub, no
explanation would be found for it.

Main Bar area.

Lee has the feeling of a man very similar in his looks and ways to Albert Tatlock from Coronation
Street. It is a residual energy; Lee is drawn to a particular table by the window. This gentleman dies
in 1967, was 5’2, wearing a flat cap, small moustache and thick dark rimmed glasses. Idris Hopkins
aged 88 when passing to spirit. A heart condition took him over. He smoked a pipe only and quite a
character, typical one of the lads. Tuesday night was cards night, a group of 4 friends used to play
cards and dominoes. … confirmed by landlord. He didn’t smile much but was funny in his own way.
There is a lot of energy here and Lee feels like he is in a crowded room.

Behind bar.

Lee stands behind the bar and immediately feels someone touching the left hand side of his head.
The figure of a man is seen, larger than lee, he used to comb his hair over to one side to cover the
bald patch. Dark brown hair, 6’1, very broad shoulders, heavy set solid man. His right hand was
useless following nerve damage due to an old injury that happened at work, he was a miner, the
years of 1984 – 1996. Edward William Williams passed at 64 years of age with stomach cancer.
Lee sees the dog Cecil behind the bar, this animal is very content loves the landlord’s children he
gets very excited and playful.

Restaurant.

Lee feels this part of the building was added at a later date.
He sees lots of memorabilia hanging on the walls, pictures etc … confirmed
Very busy to the eye.

Lee has the sensation of a hanging a suicide, 1600’s a young girl. She was accused of stealing fruit
and rather than see her family suffer the shame of what she had been accused of she committed
suicide. Her name Jacqueline Holdbridge, she is 17/18 years old, dark brown wavy hair wearing a
pink dress and blue bow in her hair. She says it was a stupid mistake and realises now how much
her family missed her and how they suffered because of her actions.
When she comes in visitation she brings an icy cold spot. She comes in visitation having been
happily reunited with her family in spirit; she doesn’t want to be forgotten though.
Jeannette spent the evening drawing and came up with several characters some who tie up with
lees spirit friends who came through, and others who just wander through the area and wanted to
be drawn.

The night is closed down.

We thank Pete & Jen Evans for their hospitality whilst we investigated this small but cosy
pub.
Nothing negative was found here at all, just some friendly spirits enjoying a happy past.
