Ghost Investigation Team Investigation
Haverfordwest – 24th May 2008.

Jane’s Room

Jeannette and Lee are drawn to Jane’s office. They discover a portal, in the far left hand corner
as you enter the room, which is allowing spirits to enter the building. The atmosphere is heavy
and thick and Lee feels a sensation of spirits coming out of the room. Jeannette and Lee both
have headaches and can sense that there has been a fire in this building. There has been a
building on this site since the early 1600’s.

ILT room

Adam is feeling really hot and his heart is beating fast. Lee has a burning sensation around his
head and feels that a fire would have been here around 1846.Jeannette and Lee both feel the
entities of a man and a woman. The woman is wearing a long heavy white dress, her name is
Rachel. Both Jeannette and Lee feel seasick and feel like they are walking on a ship. Lee can
sense farm animals – pigs and cows but not sheep and feels that the farmer would’ve killed his
own animals for food (sausages) and would have also sold the food on. Jeannette gets the
image of a master baker. Lee calls out to spirit and a loud clicking sound is heard. A cat walks
around upstairs.

Stairs

A gentleman is seen on the stairs, he looks like Percy Thrower. He was the black sheep of the
family. He shows himself to Jeannette twice – once in his working clothes of trousers tied above
the ankle with twine and a flat cap and then looking dapper in his Sunday best in a brown
woollen suit and a small bowler hat. He is an obsessively tidy man and will tidy up some things in
the office if he thinks it is messy, footsteps will be heard going across the floor upstairs and the
smell of pipe tobacco will linger upstairs. He is not a sociable man and does not like lots of
people about. Jeannette can feel the energy building up in the office. Staff will be suffering from
lots of headaches as all the energies here are not meeting properly.

Reception

Jeannette can sense that the road outside is cobbled and there is a horse and cart outside the
building. The building was not as it is today. There is large outbuilding to the left and grass to
the right. There are lots of large trees around. Helen is capturing lots of orbs on camcorder
coming through the door into reception. There are 3 children here – Abigail, William
and Hannah (Newcomb / Newton). The year is 1741. Abigail is shouting to her Mammy that
someone is hurt and she needs helping. Jeannette is shown a large pond nearby, within 3 miles.
Lee senses a drowning. The children’s Aunt Charlotte (Newton/Newcomb) age 19 drowned trying
to save Abigail. Abigail was aged 4 was near the pond and Charlotte went to help her, she
slipped and although the water was not deep she knocked herself out and drowned. Abigail was
small and could not get her out. She keeps shouting Mammy Mammy. Charlotte had straight waist
length black hair and was wearing a long pale green dress with a large bow on the back. She
came from an affluent family and did not want for anything. Her brother was the children’s father,
he was a doctor and his name was Gerald (Newcomb/Newton). William died first age 11. He was a
short lad with blond hair, he was really poorly looking. Lee can feel tightness in his chest and felt
that William suffered a long drawn out illness which made him very weak. He died of bronchitis
and pneumonia. The room is getting very cold now and the energy is building. Abigail died here
in this building of smoke inhalation in a house fire, she was age 7. Hannah died age 5 of TB.
Things will get moved around in this room as William is very curious about pens and calculators
etc. The children can see the room as it is now. There is also a big tabby cat. Both Lee and Karen
hear a meow. This cat will have been seen and heard in the office and the stairs.
Lee can sense a hanging tree, within 2 miles. He can see a woman being hanged for witchcraft in
1767.Her name was Gladys Thore. She is wearing a bonnet and a flowing dress. She is not active
here. It was a public execution and stones and putrid fruit were thrown at her. Jeannette has the
shakes and Lee has a pounding headache. There is so much intense energy in this room and
staff will have bad headaches.

Jeannette can see a man called Alfred; he is in his 40’s about 6 foot tall with dark black hair and a
long black beard. He was known as the local freak. He was harmless and had the mental age of a
6/10 year old. He had a stutter. He was made to work hard. Jeannette can see him ploughing with
horses. He was taunted and made to do fist fighting for the amusement of others. He was a
gentle giant and very misunderstood. He will have been seen as a large shadow in front of the
building in the hallway. Pat and Jeannette see a shadow walk across the wall.
Abigail tells Jeannette that there is a nasty man on the stairs who shouts at them and he smells
of sweat and cows. He doesn’t like children. (This is the man that Jeannette picked up on earlier).
Lee can see Roman soldiers marching and says that there is a Roman road nearby, this is
confirmed by Karen. He is being shown Roman coins which are thin and look green/blue. He puts
his neck on the line by predicting a local significant find within the next two months. The coins
will eventually be displayed in the Haverfordwest area.
The temperature in this room is fluctuating widely; 64°f increasing to 101°f and then down to 66°f
up to 120°f. Jeannette recommends clear quartz, amethyst and haematite around Jan’s desk for
grounding and protection. This should reduce the headaches.
Jeannette uses her dowsing rods as she can sense a sailor here. She asks the following
questions:
Did a sailor live here?  Yes
Did you sail on the Tall ships?  Yes
Was it a 3 master ship?  Yes
Did he live here?  No
Was he a lodger?  Yes
Did the ship dock in Milford Haven?  No
Was he French?          No
"       "  English?  No
"       "  Welsh?          No
"       "  Scottish?  No
Was he in Nelsons Fleet? Yes
Did he know Nelson?  Yes
Was Nelson a good Captain?  No
Did he visit Rosemarket?  Yes
Did he know Emma Hamilton?  No
Did he take the Queens shilling?         Yes
He was a boy of 12 years when he joined the Navy. He was tall and looked older than he was. His
first name was Thomas. He ran away from home as his Father was not a very nice man. He had
scurvy so staff may feel itchiness in the office

Meeting Room

In this room both Lee and Jeannette feel violently sick and have a stabbing sensation in their
stomachs, they have to leave the room immediately. In the late 1970’s/early 1980’s a man was
murdered in this room. The murderer was never caught. The victim was a man in his mid 30’
s/early 40’s although he looked older than he was. He was a slight thin man, gaunt looking with a
moustache. He is wearing a blue check shirt – A R Thomas is given as his name. He was an
alcoholic with a gambling addiction. He owed a lot of money. He was stabbed in the stomach and
is showing defence wounds on his arm and hand. There is a tattoo of an eagle/Pegasus on his
right arm in a circle. He passed over quickly. He was killed by a woman in her early 30’s –
Margaret Williams. She killed as a favour for a friend, Freddie Dowe, as he knew he would be top
of the suspect list and made sure he had an alibi for the time of the murder. Loan sharks
involved. A R Thomas is not really angry as he realises that some of the blame was his. It was at
least two weeks before his body was found. The room was used as a bed-sit. He knew we were
coming tonight and wanted to tell his story. He is not active here and only comes in visitation –
stone tape.

Jane’s Room – Séance 12.00am

Jeannette, Lee, Peter, Libby and Julie. Protection is given to the group.

Lee calls out – the spirit is male. He is not the man who has been seen on the stairs. He is
another man who walks the building. He lived here in the house alone. He did not have family.
His life was taken in the house (not the same spirit as in the meeting room). He was murdered by
another man, he did not know his murderer and is angered by this and wants revenge. He is not
grounded and will not give any details about his name or the year.
He is aware of other spirits in the building. There are 5 spirits in this building. He recognises
Jan. He does not think the building is being used appropriately, he want it to be a home and not
a business.

Jeannette picks up on a spirit who is here called John. He has been seen by the builders and
members of staff, he is not aware that they are scared. He comes in visitation. Jeannette goes
into trance and John talks through her to Jan.
John Stuart Evans was in the army and he stayed here now and again and loved living here. He
says he was age 54 when he passed over.  Lizzy owned the house with her husband – he won’t
tell us Lizzys surname as it’s a secret and he wants to protect her as her husband is a nasty man.
When her husband worked away John would stay, they were lovers and he loves Lizzy very
much. She has two children. He fell down the stairs – ‘I was alive at the top and dead at the
bottom’. He doesn’t mind us being here at all but he won’t stop visiting as he has lovely
memories and sometimes Lizzy comes with him. He has to share Lizzy in spirit with her husband.
I asked him who was on the throne when he was alive and he said that it is the same Queen as
now. He said that Pamela and I look alike and he saw me snag my skirt on the stairs. He said that
we will still have trouble with the drains and the electrics as they are not sorted properly. They
need looking at. He said it would take a good 3 months before we were completely settled in the
office. John said that Anita, George and Matthew with his collie dog sit upstairs at night chatting
(like they did before when it was a public house) – ‘They laugh about you lot and what you get up
to!!’ He started laughing and said that he was kidding when he told us he was age 54 when he
died, he was actually age 64 but was to vain to admit this before but he likes us and wanted to
tell the truth. He died in September 1984 and Lizzy died a couple of years after him. He asked that
we leave milk out for the cat now and again. John then said good bye and left us.

Jeannette closed the portal in Jane’s room.

The evening ended at 1.15am.
