THE BUSH TAVERN     5th JUNE 2010



The team was split into two groups to investigate the rooms above the public bars. Pete remains as the go
between and looks after both teams as usual.



Team A;

Julie, Sue, Jason, Debbie (Debs).

On several occasions Debs saw an unidentified black object sweep past her.

Room 10;

Debbie’s legs feel shaky as walking up the stairway, a paralysed feeling, male energy falling down the stairs
breaking their back, she then feels pressure ion her back.
Julie has a sick feeling.
Jason feels shivery and tingling, Julie and Debs feel it is him picking up on the energies of the building and
any spirits.
Debs gets the name Simon. Nothing else forthcoming so move to ….

Room 9;

Debs feels more energy, feeling in left leg, feeling of fire. Julie calls out to spirit. Sue’s breathing is changed.
Debs feels this room is different a male energy from 1920’s, the month of January, image of a man with a cat,
looks older but in his 50’s possibly 53. 5’7” tall slim build, greased back dark brown hair, clean shaven.
Somebody who let a room, not necessarily this room, Debs feels he is lousy, a bit of a pervert. She hears a
man saying “ what you see is what you get”
Julie senses someone with breathing problems, possibly asthmatic, Sue feels the same also very oppressive
but she is not sure if this is connected to Julies link. Julie feels her energy she has connected with is on the
run from prison Dartmoor.
Debs; Dartmoor spirit link, keeps himself to himself, feels he has murdered in a crime of passion. Julie
senses a hanging. Sues breathing goes again.  Debs says he was connected with this area, the docks, she is
drawn to the left, feels energy is building and Sue feels an energy up her back. Nothing more forthcoming.


Room 8;

Julie senses a strong energy straight away, Debs feels agitated, her jaws are achy especially lower jaw,
wants to grind her teeth. Julie feels anger building and wants to pace and if the room was bigger would do
just that. Debs feels tingly and angry, Sue is also feeling the tingles up her back and then feels as if someone
walks through her just as Debs opens the en-suite door. Debs feels headachy and as if all the worlds
problems are hers. Julie is feeling the same and both feel tearful. Julie feels as if she has lost everything
and Debs picks up on a man saying he misses his family, they can’t go back, he maybe schizophrenic, or
manic depressive.  Not the same person from room 10, he was almost suicidal and left his family for their own
sakes.


Room next door;

Debs feels like she wants to huddle in far corner by the toilet. Julie says it feels lighter in this room a feeling
of swaying, Debs still has discomfort in leg.
Julie feels a man killed himself , Debs feels he may have jumped, they both feel very low, Sue and Debs feel
a shiver go through. Debs wonders if he had a heart attack, Julie feels he is still here, and he was younger
than 53 late 20’s possibly early 30’s.  Debs says he was 29 when he passed. Debs wants to bite her fingernails!
Debs can see lights under the window.
Julie picks up on “my family do not know what happened to me” and Debs is still getting Dartmoor. Possibly a
mixture of energies communicating.  His plan was to go to the Americas and to hide away or to emigrate.

Room 11;

Debs ; women hanging out of the window, prostitutes touting for business, 1930 - 1940.
Julie is feeling irritable.
Jason has light anomalies coming towards him.
Debs gets the name Vince.
Jason has lights again.
Julie calls out to spirit.
Jason has lights again.
The room is seen as one big open area, maybe a dance floor  or function room Julie senses boredom and
hanging around.

Room 3;
Debs wants to go through to room 6, Julie picks up on children, a kiddies room and wants to swing her feet.  
A girl aged 6, fair hair tied with ribbon a tartan dress, white collar just playing with dolls, name of Susie, a nice
happy room.
Debs gets red and white roses for remembrance tied with a yellow ribbon.

Room 4;

Julie gets pain across left eye. Debs gets pins and needles in arm and feeling of being pulled up. Julie
notices spots of light in the corner by the cupboard. A strong tingly feeling felt by all. In the cupboard it is
very cold and the possibility there’s a window been blocked off. They question if there is a vortex in this
room. Debs feels as if she wants to talk through her nose, energy of a woman with a cleft palette. Small lady
possibly 5’ wearing a crocheted  shawl, could be a char lady, looks after people in the building. She knows
everyone’s business, lays people out, knows how to deliver babies, a nice person who may also have carried
out abortions for the prostitutes.  Hears “I’ll sort you out love”. 1800’s- 1900’s ??  it was here life doing all the
above, probably learnt from her mother. Debs feels someone poke her in the right shoulder. Sues breathing
starts to go again.  Debs sees steam trains from mainly 1940’s.

Room 5;

Julie feels giddy, and swimmy. Debs senses cliff tops, a feeling of being struck on the head, an axe, then the
words “they knew to much”.

Room 6;

Sue feels like the floor has dropped.
Julie feels sick.
Debs feels travel sick, a pain in the right hip and shivery and is told to watch your back. She doesn't’t like
this room and feels winded.
In unison Sue says she can taste ether and Julie says she feels as if she is losing consciousness.
The room seems to be getting hotter to all of us, we feel very uncomfortable and decide to leave the area to
regroup.   



Second Team;

Jeannette, Alan, Jan, Helen.

First thing as we enter the tavern and go up to the flat is Debbie and Jeannette both have a stabbing feeling
in the stomach area and a male energy that is unnerving.

Room 11;

Jeannette feels  as if someone does not want us in here, feel swimmy. A spirit following people around in the
pub and watching them. 1831 - 1836 era, male energy. Face is prominent, long sideburns going into a neat
short beard and ginger. A stern energy, feeling of owning property.
This tavern feels fresh and new, a sense of community, as if the whole area was newly built, becoming its
own town. Sensing soldiers, World War two. Alan can smell a sweet Dutch tobacco.  Jeannette gives a
personal message to Linda. Jeannette also smells a very sweet tobacco smell.

Room 3;

A spirit woman walks in folds her arms under her bust and says “well, I’m not happy about this” Jeannette
feels it is Linda’s Nan again who would have had a healthy curiosity for spiritualism but very cautious. She
wants to join in tonight, Jeannette asks her to step back a little and by all means join in but not to stop or
interfere with any other spirit trying to communicate. Linda’s Nan is wearing an apron and shows Jeannette
an apple pie.
Jeannette suddenly feels dizzy and sees a something black fall from the ceiling to the floor, but when we
turn the lights on only seconds later there is nothing there, Jeannette can only describe it as a large moth
type shape.
Jeannette feels the spirits were happy back in circa 2007 when the building was quiet due to refurbishment it
was very peaceful … verified by Linda.

Room 4;

This room feels cooler although temperature is the same . . .25.5c as in room 3. Jeannette feels really sad
and emotional in this room, she is given the names of William Francis (surname not given) and Mary mid 1800’
s who lived at this establishment.
We all feel as if the room is getting even hotter but the temperature has reduced by .5 a degree to 25c
Jeannette says doors would be opened and closed and things being switched on this is all done by spirit
children not grounded here but coming in visitation. Jeannette feels the Ouija board was used here not long
ago … verified reluctantly by Linda it was used about 2 months previous. Thomas a spirit from Linda’s
previous pub shows himself to Jeannette, this is how she knows the board has been used, see past events
for Prince of Wales investigation.
Jeannette eye is continually drawn to the cord belonging to the window blind it looks like  a noose and she
connects to a man who was hung. Not in this building but nearby in a barn in mid 1600’s (era also picked up
on by Alan) a young man/boy a feeling by Alan of the boy being lynched he was in the wrong place at the
wrong timer, Jeannette feels the people who hung him had to be seen to be doing something about a crime
in the area and he was their scapegoat. He would have been felt by staff almost as a light brushing a cobweb
feeling felt by most females, he is not harmful just wistful and always walked with his head down. Jeannette
feels there are some negative spirits here which Linda can sense as well as this lad … verified by Linda.
Jeannette suddenly has backache and feels lethargic Linda says she has also had these symptoms which are
unexplainable.  Jeannette sees the black shape again this time going behind Peter who has come to check
we are ok. Jeannette’s voice goes croaky and this is either a spirits feeling or someone in the building
keeps losing their voice.  The room seems to be getting hotter but is in reality still 25.5c  Jeannette gets the
feeling of a fire this is confirmed by Linda.


Tea Break

Room 11;

Jeannette feels claustrophobic and takes a while to be able to enter the room, her heart is pounding and
feels like crying.  Gets the feeling of a loss like a mother. Jeannette gets a nasty hacking cough, feels like a
girl is trapped in here , a surreal existence, heavy footsteps would be heard coming up the stairs and across
the landing. She is scared and heart pounding again, there was abuse here, (back in time), the energy on this
floor is heavy, people would not want to stay in this room, the man would push people around.  The name of
Fanny comes to mind when asking spirit who lived up here, again loud footsteps are heard a heavy footfall.
Jeannette does scrying in the mirror, a male energy with piercing eyes and a beard small in stature as
Jeannette feels she is shrinking in height but getting wider. Someone in this building has had a huge fright,
either seen something or been touched. Jeannette feels angry. Helen and Jeannette are suffering terrible
back ache since entering this room. Fanny is 5’ aged 18 and she would have slept up here in the attic space
this was all one room not as it is now divided up. 1842 when she worked here. Jeannette asks Alan to step
away from behind her but Alan is at the other end of the room sat down! Fanny was in service, a hard worker,
she jumped and broke her neck, dies on the premises, showing stairs but not as they are now. Pacing back
and forth would be heard here as well as a lighter patter of footsteps. Fanny was pregnant, Alan sees
Jeannette's  face in the scrying mirror suddenly change to a smirk and then a sneer. Two men one with
sideburns and one younger male. Linda confirms the stairs, and hearing of footsteps also someone being
terrified as apparently people have the feeling of being pushed out of their bed in this room by unseen
hands.
Jeannette feels the backaches are caused by a stabbing, under the ribs to the left side of spine at the back.
Alan is also suffering from back pain and again this black unidentifiable object is seen dropping in front of
Jeannette.  
Jeannette calls out to spirit, she hears “bitch” in return and then Linda has a coughing fit which is not
something she is currently suffering from. Jeannette asks the spirit if he would like to speak to a male, she
sees the man sneer  Jeannette feels women have been touched in personal areas by spirit this is confirmed
by Linda, and Alan calls out to him; “why pick on women?” Subservient is heard by Jeannette who has a
coughing attack. Alan calls out again but no further response.
We are not drawn to investigate the other rooms up here  as we feel all has been grouped together as if the
area was once again one room. Time to regroup.


We go as one group to observe a couple of the rooms that felt uneasy;  No notes have yet been compared…


Room 3;
This is where the possible vortex is but Jeannette does not think there is one here, the energy is to variant
and no consistency to it.


Room 6;
Sue feels sick in the corridor, entering the room Jeannette and Julie both have an instant headache.
Jeannette has a dead body smell! Linda can smell hash!! Jeannette is shown a couple of faint odd images
one being a medieval old man, wizard like in appearance and then of four white horses pulling a carriage and
bolting towards her, then feels like she is on a bungee cord or spring and then rubs her ears as they feel
like they are burning. Helen who has been outside with cam-corder  can feel energy building up in the
corridor and asks Alan to join her, as she feels uncomfortable and has the feeling of “we are out to get you
and watch your back.”
Jeannette sees in the room a black flitting move quickly by the cupboard and goes to have a look, she has a
cold shiver and asks spirit for contact. It feels a if the cupboard is moving, waves of energy pulsing, her
mind seems to drift and she is unable to remember what she was about to say or do. We ask if spirit can turn
the TV on but nothing happens and Jeannette seems to drift again, Julie asks if she is OK, she says she is,  
Julie asks if she feels as if she is drugged but Jeannette says she feels totally drunk, she starts to laugh and
then goes into hysterical giggles which we can not help but join in as it is rather infectious. She pleads to be
removed from the room and with Peters assistance and almost on hands and knees leaves the room where
the giggles just stop.
Meanwhile Helen and Alan have had an uneasy feeling in the corridor (whilst we were all in the room) Helen
and Alan both feel the energy is very heavy, as Alan walks back towards where Helen is filming he sees the
carpet go a darker shade, we think this has been caught on video the darkness moves towards one of the
opposite rooms to the one we are all in, and Alan and Helen go into the room, on cam corder a light anomaly
is caught by Alan. This is one of the strangest things we have seen or caught on camera as subtle as it may
be there is definitely a change in the colour of the carpet, as if a shadow has moved down it. We could not
recreate this phenomena.

We move downstairs to the public bars.

Ladies toilet area;
Jeannette feels that people in here would have the sense of being watched, the feeling of water going on its
own (she thought the taps but apparently the loo’s flush on their own) an uncomfortable feeling as if being
watched by a pervert. Debs asks if someone has been seen sitting on the bar. There is an odd smell like
sulphur smelt by everyone bar Sue, does not seem to be the drains. A cold draft is felt by the driers but after
a while it is thought this may be coming in and collecting from an open outside door out in the bar area.
The barman explains about unexplained things going on in the bar and confirms the being watched feeling
and tells us about the loo’s flushing, he also says about the feeling of someone crouching behind the bar.
We decide to do glass divination in the bar area.

The only trouble we had with this is people wanted to have a go who had been drinking and we were not
happy to allow this, nor anyone with a negative feel to their energy which upset some people.
Safety is paramount and our motto of “if in doubt leave it out” applies to spirit and humans alike!  

As it was spirit did not want to communicate via the glass at all; so after several attempts this was abandoned
and the evening (now morning) called to a close with protection and a blessing being put in place. Once
away from the buildings energy the mediums also placed protection around the building and have since
asked for all spirits within and around the building to calm down and given them a way to move to the light if
they so wish.



We wish to give a heartfelt thanks to Linda for asking us to help her with the noises and unexplained
feelings that were being experienced in the tavern. Hopefully we have shed some light on the spirit
characters dwelling there and reassured her she is in no danger from any spirit that resides or visit’s the
place.  
Just please do not do anything to call spirit in … you are opening the door to the unknown!!!
