| CAPEL SUR KIDWELLY WE ARE THE FIRST PARANORMAL GROUP TO INVESTIGATE HERE. |
We only had the building for a short time to carry out an investigation, some of the team had visited the building whilst on a private Dark Deeds tour last summer so knew some of it’s history. Bearing this in mind we took along a new Medium in training and kept quiet about the place. It used to be a house and is now a church with no outward signs of it ever being a residential building. On a limited timescale we started the investigation with a wander round. Lee picked up on the year of 1789 and a name Rhodri Thomas, also book keeping. WW1 seemed relevant as well. We split into two small groups. In the kitchen area Jeannette sensed a whoosh of air rush past her and saw a young maid shoot round the corner to the stairs, she feels this is a cyclical ghost and is running in answer to calls or screams from upstairs. The years of 1820-1830 are given. Adam (our new medium) has sensed a young boy sitting on the stairs, Jeannette sees a young girl and they both feel they were brother and sister. Adam sees an orb, the hair on the back of his legs stand up and a cold spot is felt. The era would be pre- Victorian and the children Alice and Charles aged about 6/7. Jeannette and Adam both pick up the name of Albert and the name Thomas. A lot of heartaches relates to this building. Jeannette gets the name of Annabelle. Both Mediums have a headache like a tight band around their head. Jeannette and Jan both see a shadow walk past the door, Pete goes out to check who is wandering around but no one is there the other team are upstairs in the main chapel section. Adam says it was Annabelle walking past. Jeannette feels this room would have been a dining room and that the chapel is the most active place. (Later proven to be the noisiest!). Adam hears someone moving around in the room next door, again no one is there, a chink is heard by all. 1548 …Adam and Jeannette are both seeing a battle, a small battle, big swords are shown. A skirmish, to do with the castle. On asking what’s going on? Jeannette is told.. “Yea gods woman” Jeannette feels she is sitting under a huge oak tree in a copse, she is female, tiny in size, wearing a huge dress, possibly time of 1577, she has two or three people with her but unable to make out who they are. The fight is over the hand of a lady there are between 6-8 men in it. Jeannette asks exactly what it is all about and is told “forsooth t’was over a maidens hand, they did fair play, but it ended in a bloody mess.” Jeannette’s Grandfather comes in and says it was a fight that got out of hand. A long low manor house is seen to have been nearby these people were merchants and had money. The house was lost in the battle/fight. Adam says “Thou shall be dead” and the name of Arthur is given. Complete change of era. Jeannette sees a Dr’s Gladstone bag, a dark natured character and possibly Edwardian. He is wearing very round glasses and is short and slim. He is saying “What is the point if you are not going to do as I tell you” we are unable to find out who he was talking to. Someone in the house made their own medicines. Adam can hear psychically a siren the same time as Jeannette also picks up a clanging noise like an old fashioned fire engine bell. They both say fire engine at the same time. Adam says Alice may have started the fire. The name Margaret is significant to this house prior to it being a chapel. For some reason Adam can see the colours red and yellow and Jeannette can see red and green. Adam hears a running sound from the kitchen and a knocking is heard but no one there. The atmosphere changes as Adam picks up on a small space and someone struggling to escape. A young girl. Both mediums see a man who has been stabbed the name Arthur is given, a young girl a maid is confused and not sure what to do, there is an older man in the room and another nervous spirit person who neither medium can distinguish, Jeannette goes to sit behind Adam and asks him to tune in whilst she protects him. This is were the two mediums linked together to help each other and was quite amazing for all in the room to see and feel, Jeannette linked with spirit and Adam, Adam linked to spirit and as Jan asked Adam questions Jeannette mimed or signed the answers to the others in the room and seconds later Adam (who could not in any way, shape or form see or hear Jeannette) gave the same answers. We have to say we were very impressed with Adam, his first investigation and he was amazing. Adams medium ship…. A male aged 21 a beard, smartly dressed, trying to get out of the room, he is unable to as the man who has been stabbed is blocking the door. Philip smith – he stabbed the man over money 1800’s it is 6pm. Another maid has arrived to help they take the injured man to a room where the chapel is now. Maid has black hair and is bigger than the first one Annabelle is the second maid’s name. The nurses are trying to stitch the wounds; a woman comes to visit him, his wife. A man a close friend who had no knowledge of events that had taken place came to visit Arthur the next morning; he was an n accountant first name Thomas. He is sad about his friend he has striking blue eyes. Year of 1875 – 1879 given. Arthur’s daughter Beth is with him, Adam sees the nurses rush to Arthur’s bed where his daughter is sitting holding her fathers hand as he tells her he loves her, his wife leaves the room crying. She has gone to get something, she has bought her favourite necklace and puts it on him, as he turns and says “see you soon”. The nurses are now trying to resuscitate Arthur, but he has gone. Phillip has gone downstairs to get some of Arthur’s favourite wine to take to him and he is informed of Arthur’ s death by one of the maids. He raises the wine glass and salutes Arthur. Arthur Bendsfield’s is the name now given to Adam. There is another man in the small ward where Arthur was he had a bad leg. Arthur’s funeral was in this building, Adam says that on the 3rd floor there was a small chapel (not where existing one is) on the second floor was a small bedroom and a ward with about twenty beds in it. Arthur was a doctor, his wife was Margaret, his brother, James a Vicar in the chapel. We have a tea break and stay as one group. Chapel area. OUR CAMERAS STARTED TO PLAY UP IN THIS AREA, BATTERIES DRAINED QUICKLY AND THIS WAS THE ONLY ROOM WHERE PHOTO'S WERE NOT SHARP. Helen sees quite clearly a short man just about to go out the door we are about to enter, but he turns around and rush’s up the stairs away from us. Jeannette calls out to spirit, knocking is clearly heard by all. Jan and Adam feel a draft at the back of their heads. Lee and Adam see a shadow walk past. Jan and Lee hear a loud click by the door. Lee sees a white ‘shadow’ and also someone walk past and around the chapel. It is felt by all present that every now and then a spirit person is getting out of their pew and looking over to see what we are doing, no one wishes to talk to us but constantly respond by knocking or as fleeting shadows. Noises are heard downstairs so Helen and Jeannette go to see if someone has entered the building, no one is there, but as they turn to go back Jeannette clearly sees a man in his 60’s slightly stooped scurrying to the outbuildings, she is certain he was a gardener when the place was residential. Earlier when the other group where in the chapel Lee picked up on a person who had lost their life here, two people were involved and it was a male who died. A female and male were involved. The man who passed was beaten with possibly a candlestick. Peter gets a bad headache in the chapel, he sees two faces clearly, a man with a beard and a woman wearing a bonnet, era 1800’s. Cellar. Lee feels this may have been used as an air raid shelter and command forces i.e. radio/Morse code during WW1 Jeanette feels that there may have been a tunnel, as Lee says the back wall is not original Jan confirms that the wall is not original and they would have been a link to the waterways. There are lots of noises coming from the well area near Helen, we are not sure but possibly natural noises caused by the well. 1600’s an era of smuggling. Whilst most of the group were in the cellar Adam and Peter remained above ground, Adam senses the outbuildings were deliberately set on fire by the gardener as the manor’s children had destroyed his flowers. The evening is closed down. A relaxed atmosphere at the chapel for an investigation and although a short investigation and not overly active, it was an ideal location for us to get an insight to Adam’s capabilities as a new Medium for the group sometime in the near future. |
