CAREW CASTLE

REPORT

On this very cold night a large group gathered to try and find out what Carew castle would
offer us in spirit visitation. Whilst waiting for the main group to arrive
Jan, Helen and Jeannette
clearly heard someone cough, as if clearing their throat, no human appeared for a further
15 minutes…..

We gather in


The Hall

Jeannette calls out to spirit and a gentleman aged appx; 30 years old, large of build of the year 1210 is
standing watching us, he is dressed rather shabbily. He has been seen as a shadow by people. He would have
been a general worker in the castle.  The name of Perceval comes in but does not belong to this man. The
name of Matthew is relevant also.  
Two taps are heard in the chapel next door by Jan and Kerry, they can also hear shuffling. We go to the
chapel. Stones are thrown; there are some unexplained cold spots. We settle into the space some seated a
few standing, Jeannette calls out, the table moves and a large knock is heard a loud booming noise also.
A man is sensed standing outside the door just watching, he won’t respond to us at all. Again Jeannette calls
out; muttering is clearly heard in the room next door by several people. And again stones are thrown.
Jeannette’s hair feels like it is standing up on her neck with the energy.
Jeannette and one of the gentlemen from the group stand outside the chapel in the middle of the different
stairwells. They both sense strongly a man watching from the top of the stairs, the gentleman sees a flash of
light go across the archway, Jeannette sees a light anomaly, they both see a mans shadow watching them.
They go to the top of the stairs, the shadow moves away and they return to the bottom, he reappears.
Meanwhile Jeannette has also been calling out and whistling. In the chapel the table is shaking and moves,
no one is touching the table when this happens. Flashes of light are seen and clicks are clearly heard. The
temperature drops from 6c to 2.5c the table vibrates and moves on its own.
All goes quiet so we have a coffee break to warm up…

Great Hall.

There are three guards watching us as we enter and as Jeannette points out where they are she asks people
to take photos light anomalies appear where she’s pointed to.
Jeannette is told something precious was here, possibly taken off a ship.
Jeannette senses energy in three places and asks for volunteers to stand in these areas, sue stands in the
most active. Jeannette calls out, Sue feels as if someone is at the grate, she feels a little scared. Dean hears a
shuffling and one of the ladies turns around as she is felt as if she is being watched. Jeannette feels that in
the doorway up above them a man is watching, Kerry takes a photo and a light anomaly is on the picture.
Nothing else is forthcoming so we decide to split up.
The first group go to the tower where the ape was presumably kept but nothing is forthcoming at all. They
move onto the chapel and again   they all clearly hear shuffling sound by the window. A gassy smell is smelt by
a few of the group but otherwise nothing else is forthcoming.

The other group gather in the kitchen area… two soldiers are sensed as residual energy sitting down in front
of the window eating from a platter fresh meat and dry bread, they are chatting away and seem quite happy. A
spirit boy comes through and interacts nicely with us, he does not say much but heads for Tyler and promptly
pokes and prods him and makes the table shake, much to Tyler’s delight! He also interacts with a couple of the
ladies and makes them go uncannily hot which is a bonus as it is a very cold evening. Tyler’s dad is nudged
and has his elbow touched.
Jeannette’s group then go to the tower and it is here she feels very wistful and gazes out across the water as
if waiting for someone’s return, she feels a lady was locked in this room for sometime, for no other reason
than to stop her straying. Nothing else is forthcoming so they go to a small room just off the inner ward.
Jeannette feels strongly that there is a well under the ground and in it are two bodies, one male and one
female. Both murders the lady for becoming pregnant and the man for taking another’s woman, they tell
Jeannette that the man that killed them still walks the castle areas as he is scared of moving over, Jeannette
points out there is nothing to be frightened of. Normally after a few minutes you get night vision  but no one in
the group can see anywhere in front of them if anything it seems to get darker, we are unable to explain this
and when one of the ladies feels something brush against her foot we turn the torches on just in case it was a
rat!
It is here that Tyler clearly gets the names of Richard, William and Phillip.

Coffee break.

We swap groups and as Jeannette had some interacting spirit in the kitchen they want to go there the other
group go back to the chapel. The chapel group experience very little.
The kitchen is now quieter the young boy spirit is there, Jeannette asks if he would mind doing something for
her, she mentally asks him to stand behind a lady, he does just as the lady in question feels the back of her
legs go freezing cold. He tells Jeannette he will go to someone wearing pink … a lady in pink comments that
she feels something. A gentleman spirit comes in, well built about 6’3” again not saying anything, a lad in the
group asks if the spirit will interact with him, Jeannette asks spirit to do something, but other that the lads
legs feeling wobbly for no apparent reason nothing happens. Jeannette asks spirit to do something to
someone else but he remains behind the lad and refuses to move. Fair enough… we thank spirit and move on
to meet up with the other group.

Hall.

As we wait for the other group to join us from the chapel Jeannette has a man join her who makes her pace up
and down, the energy is building up. His name is John, a small man, very wiry with the strength of ten men!
Bare knuckle fighting. He does not like some of the people in the group. Jeannette asks him to step back and
he is a strong energy and as he is cross with people it is not wise to allow him to remain with them. She asks
which man felt weird in his legs whilst in the tower, one man had (Jeannette was not in the group with him and
had no way of knowing this), She then asks who likes to watch war movies/fighting, a man acknowledges that
he does, she tells him that he finds something about them which fascinates him… he agrees.
Jeannette asks them who knows the name of Rosemary... a lady can take this and there follows some personal
messages for the group. Tyler’s Granddad, Reginald, comes through and tells his Grandson that his dreams
can come true if he really wants them to.   Most of the personal information is accepted, apart from the man
who has to go to the bank to sort out some wrong accounts ….  I wonder who that was!!!
Jeannette would not normally give private messages out, but spirit came in so strong and the group were
quite happy to have evidence given out, but they were personal so not all the information is written down.

Jeannette calls out to the spirits of the castle one last time a loud clunk is heard and light anomalies caught
on camera. Then nothing at all.

We thank spirit and close the investigation.




We personally found the evening relaxing, the group were a pleasure to work with and although we were all
disappointed in the lack of information, spirit made up for it with the noises and hopefully the personal
information given at the end of the night.

We stuck to our principles … we have never and would never make anything up, if spirit wish to appear or talk
they will and if they don’t…. Sorry there is nothing we can do about it.
