CAREW CHERITON CONTROL


We had been asked to return to investigate the control tower and part of its field’s, make
the venue.
So with a handful of guests and team we took a walk round the site.
We all commented on the fact that the site was very still.  Not like the last visit.
It was felt by the Mediums and Andrew that we were being watched but they were
keeping tight lipped.
Little did we know that later on something rather frightening would happen.


We walked down across the hard standing of the old hanger, Jeannette could hear the
mumble of voices and see men working, Emma hears a man say “they’re back” she is wary
as this could be the man we met last time, not a nice energy.
As we walk down the old road, Jeannette’s left leg gives way and she hears a young man
ask if she wants to play!!
He has an American accent with possibly French as well, is about 6’6 blonde haired and
has a dimple in his chin. He is messing about and a really friendly energy.
Emma can see a lorry approaching full of French Canadian soldiers singing Allouette.
Jeannette can hear a plane coming in, it is in trouble and she feels it crashed in a certain
direction; she points it out to Andrew who says there is a possibility.
Jeannette says the soldiers based here were in the majority very young 17-25 years of
age. Andrew confirms that was so.
Jeannette also feels that in the month of November there would be an anniversary, as if
something had changed here on the base. The year would be 1945-49.
Andrew confirms that the site was cleared out in November 1945.

Dairy Hays Farm area.
Jeannette feels this was a base in WW1, she also gets a Royal Naval base. Andrew
confirms this is true, a Royal Naval base was here during WW1, a name sounding like
Sergeant Mc Affrays is given he would have been here in WW11 and passed in his early
twenty’s. (Confirmed).
The Mediums get numbers which may be squadrons or planes …. 635, 645 and 366
A black Alsatian dog (spirit) is seen running past the group. And Emma has a pain to her
head and feels someone passed with a head injury, possibly in  crash.

Emma is having a conversation with a French Canadian airman, in French!
He is following us down the lane.
He is over 6’ blonde hair, a dimple in his chin, and very charming,
it is the same spirit who was flirting earlier with Jeannette.
He wants to play with the ladies in the group, he makes us laugh.
He tells Emma “what your looking for is in the field” both Mediums feel it is to do with a
crash, the spirit agrees and tells us it is a Lancaster bomber and the remains of the pilot
are still there. Andrew is not too convinced but we stick by our words …. Anyone got a
digger???

The spirits name is Martin, he warns Emma to be careful as something ahead is not nice, as
she tells Jeannette, Adam is feeling sick and Helen has a really bad headache. Adam is
taken back to the control tower. Helen is sweating and fighting with the most awful image
of someone vomiting and the then turning round and showing her the most evil of faces.
She is dizzy and very hot.
We manage to get her back on track, we realise she is wearing a clear crystal; this may
have contributed to the energies being amplified around her so she removes the item.
Emma clearly hears a man telling her to “f *** off” and the French Canadian spirit, Martin
tells her to “move on quickly”
We feel the negativity has cleared but not for long, Emma sees this negative man as a huge
person, dressed in a boiler suit, is greasy  looking, untidy and huge hands.

We have a tea break before tackling this negativity and getting him to move on.

We return to the hanger area, Helen is without doubt being affected by this energy, she is
quiet, and staring, the spirit tells us we are playing games with him,
but we tell him we are there with the greatest of respect and only wish to help.
We stand in a circle holding hands, Emma gives us the name of George, and Helen who is
standing to one side says it is Gareth. Helen gets the giggles, we ask her to call out,
mainly to get her to concentrate on something physical. She is totally unable to say any
words.  
This spirit is really affecting her; she just giggles and says “I’m fine”
eventually with coaxing she is able to call out.
Andrew suddenly doubles up in pain with stabbing sensations in his left side, he is
removed from the area by Pete,
and whilst on the way out he is told by spirit “f**** off the names Gordon”.
We rejoin the circle and call in guides, angels and the spirits family and friends to come
and collect him,  psalm 23 is read out and the energies start to shift.
Eventually Gareth/Gordon willingly moves on. The whole area feels better and it is with a
happy heart we head for the air raid shelter. On the way on the top of the control tower
building Emma and Jeannette ‘see’ three airmen leaning over watching us, unfortunately
the security light goes on and blinds them!
In the shelter it is warm and cosy feeling, we catch a few orbs on camera but nothing else
and after a short chat and a laugh we return to the control tower and close for the night.

Thank you once again Andrew for a great night, we look forward to returning next year to
walk the fields and discover some more about this fantastic place.


Since the investigation we have found out that 366 is an Idaho based squadron.
635 is an RAF bomber squadron flying Lancaster bombers.
645 is a USA based mission support unit.
We are unable to find out if any of these where based at Carew and as to why the
Mediums were clearly given these numbers.
