THE CARREG RESTAURANT NARBERTH. 30th OCTOBER 2010
The investigation starts in Lewis’ room, 1st floor.
An immediate giddy feeling, swirling energies, almost as if you are on board a ship. A gentleman called
George is sensed, aged 62, height 5’6” wearing a tweedy jacket, and holding on to the lapels as if to show
his importance. Has an air of authority about his stance. A respectful man, wearing a small bowler hat. The
song “Ding dong merrily on high” is heard and it is felt this is in relation to a significant time. Victorian times
1840 (ish). He likes music. And very tactile. He watches over everyone, a lovely comfortable energy He
could be a head groom or similar. It is felt that the quilt on the bed has been tugged either by George or a
lady tidying up. There is a lot of English energy in the building, possibly travellers. The surname of Heston is
given. A ladies energy is picked up, early twenty’s. A maid, she looked after guests and kept herself to
herself. A cross is shown to Steve and a bob style haircut suggesting more modern times. Also a wooden
ship but there is no response to questions, a large glass of red wine also seen. She shows Steve her
kneeling down praying, very religious. Not from this area, name of Elizabeth. !890 wearing maids uniform
lovely soul, very quiet.. She liked to walk in the woods in her spare time. Someone would have been seen in
the left hand corner of the room, there is a definite cold spot there. Jeannette hears quite clearly “children
should be seen not heard”.A golden retriever is seen outside the window running up the pathway. Kennels
may have been outside along with the stables. People in livery also seen outside. The sensation of
someone just sitting staring out the window watching the world go by. The spirits in the house are pleased
we have come to talk and are in anticipation of what we are going to do. The name of Benjamin, 1910 “my
lad”, not pleased about the changes to the house. Toasts us with a glass of wine. Marsh/bog is shown to
Steve. This Man lived on a farm and enjoyed sitting round an open fire. A legal man, he is writing with a
quill. Ridgeback dogs. Problems with a locksmith in the past causing trouble.
Main bedroom;
Walk in wardrobe area, heavy oppressive energy, quite depressing and all feel exhausted. No other
information forthcoming. Sleeping area; The overwhelming feeling of someone contemplating suicide. A
man stands by the door, on the rug just watching. Fire, smoke and inhalation, hot to breathe, hot air (a fire in
the building).By the actual bed the energies change. Not good Feng Shui to have the bed under beams as it
disrupts the energies. The game Simon says given, a joker in the pack - now in spirit. Someone passed with
TB or cancer of the chest. The song “Diamonds are forever” heard by at least two team members.
This room feels detached from the rest of the house. Spirit are just watching not forthcoming, Debbie’s hair
suddenly touched … just to prove they’re here. Name of Betty, January 1901 a maid. Name of Jenkins. A
plump lady 5’3” kept house for the owners. Raymond and also the name of Fanny Price. Ian and Wendy
would have disturbed sleep, as if someone in the room is trying to get their attention, really cold spots near
the guitars by the bed, headaches, funny dreams, we feel these are all caused by off the scale emf readings,
If they reduce the amount of electrical gadgets by the side of the bed this should help alleviate these
symptoms. It is felt that a man linked to this area was not allowed any rest, a clapping or bang sound, and
people would be able to feel him around them, not a negative energy just frustration. In life he had no
patience, 1700’s did not like people being happy, would make people living here feel low. He is here in
visitation only.A Grandmother just watching over him. Lots of sadness and suicidal feelings, her energy
drawn to Ian, he would sense her, she stands over him, making sure he is safe.
Bedroom, top left.
Two team members walk in and feel sick, a taping noise heard by one team member but this is probably the
water tanks in the cupboards. Sadness and lower stomach pain felt. Also room had been kept locked and
not used for some years. Sensation of children, possibly four aged about 5., belonging to the house. A
happy family scenario, Christmas again significant. The name of Rupert. Jazz’s room;George is again here he
walks round the whole property making sure all is ok. Jeannette and Julie have left this room and returned
to master bedroom, Helen hears whispering in Lewis’ room and thinking Jeannette is there goes to see
what is happening … no one is there and on finding Jeannette Helen asks her to go to Lewis’ room and a
very definite energy is felt in left hand corner, George again.
Jazz’s room.
George still here, he walks round checking all is ok with the property. Headaches, heavy tummy, a flighty
feeling, names of Marigold, Poppy, and Rachael are given, residual energy from past children. A rocking
horse, Victorian type on wooden rockers. , room was possibly a nursery. Both Debs and Jeannette are
feeling very tired and the energy seems a little heavy, the men are asked to leave the room and immediately
the energies are revitalised. The Mediums pick up on ballet, drama, loss of two Grandparents, always in a
hurry, what you see is not what you get, trying to please everyone, pmt, headaches across brow and back of
neck, pain left side of head, she needs to do what she wants to do. Feeling of not settled in yet, am I going
or staying? It is felt by both Debbie and Jeannette that all the above are actually how Jazz feels, this is
confirmed later by Jazz.
Lounge.
George is here again, he comes to the doorway but not in to the room as to busy and noisy. Thomas a young
man aged 24, 1954 a Mod not a rocker, worked here, a residual energy. Young man bought his carriage here
for repair in 1700’s, surname of Tank. Four horses. Feels like a German energy, he stayed in a local Inn
nearby. Worked with slate, almost like a modern day rep taking samples to show people. He did a lot of
business in France.
Stairs; Jeannette and Helen
Feeling of someone passing with a heart condition, short of breath, heaviness around centre of chest, hard
to catch breath. Name of Margaret, a servant possibly, bundle of towels in her arms. Falling down the stairs.
Return to Master bedroom; (Not Julie and Jeannette they have returned to the downstairs areas)
Debbie picks up on the main spirit that has been unnerving the household ; A tall dark man wearing high
boots, black frock coat looking at a pocket watch, trying to find his way. Confused, and apologises to the
current family if he has caused upset. He is waiting for an important delivery, and his life was taken from him
possibly by a heart attack.. (Think this is Steve picking up as well) He dies before receiving the important
delivery, the delivery was the arrival of a baby, but he passed before seeing his child. He is confused about
the time difference and is still waiting. The initial M is given. He worked in a high position of responsibility
maybe insurance on boats. 1660’s The time piece is still around to this day.
Debbie goes downstairs to Jeannette and Julie and starts to tell them about a tall man they have come
across , but Julie and Jeannette interrupt her and proceed to describe the man and what he is wearing and
then both realise they are leaning on the dado rail with one elbow and their other hand is hooked into their
trouser pockets. They both are standing upright and say how important they feel. They see the man as aged
34, tall, dark hair, side burns, knee length black boots, riding breeches and a longish jacket with a waistcoat.
Lived locally and is buried nearby. Name of Andrew and there is a father and son connection. Distinguished
looking, possibly an aristocrat. The pocket watch, time keeping everything, everything has to be done on
time.
Kitchen
A “get out” energy, in the right hand corner there is a cold spot, a male presence name of Dennis. People
may have been pushed in here. A woman typing on an old style typewriter. Feeling that a doorway has been
covered up, a dog (spirit) sits wagging its tail. The whole corner has a draft going across it no physical
reason for this could be found… most odd!
Link room from kitchen to restaurant.
Only Steve seems to feel as if we are being watched, a male energy, short man carrying a bunch of keys,
heavy footed. Feels like we have to put hands in pocket, this energy barges straight through, as if on a
mission. Then George Formby singing “when I’m cleaning windows”. We do get very high emf readings,
again this feels the reason why people think paranormal things are happening here. Nothing else
forthcoming and as we are unable to investigate the downstairs as a party has over run, we are invited to
join the guests and have some fun answering their questions, although not sure how many of them would
remembering asking us any!!
Conclusion;
There are some happy contented energies in this building some residual others free to pop in now and then.
A lot of things that residents are feeling is due to the high (off the scale) emf readings and they need to
start unplugging items not in use. To reduce this.
The reason we had been called in to investigate.
Without any of our Mediums knowing we had been given information from the residents and staff to
anything unusual happening in the building. As usual our team turned up trumps picking up along the lines
of the residences experiences. Which were;
1) Five individual people have seen a tall man, dressed in frock coat looking at a pocket watch and shaking
his head, not elderly neither young and seeming confused.
2) In the kitchen behind some old wallpaper were drawings by children of a man in a long coat and top hat
and boots along with Angels and Fairies. In the middle of the stairs.
3) Room above living room ? Master bedroom.
Hit on the cheek when sleeping which woke him up and a cat walks across the bed, feeling of being
watched.
4)Link room downstairs; Cold spots, door opens and closes on its own, sees someone out of corner of eye,
knives dropping.
5) Lewis’s room, he heard someone say “sssh quiet” a male voice and a chain being rattled.
6) Front door by chandelier (unable to investigate this area), popular place for spirits to hang out!
7)Jazz wanted to know why her bedroom is always cold….. Her window is always open and the rest of that
area is quite warm!
We hope we have been able to answer most of the residents questions and explained the reasons for
noises and unexplained happenings. Nothing negative in the building at all.
