COEDCANLAS FARM - 31st March 2006 We had an investigation team of eleven this night including the owner Sue and her dog. The weather had been showery during the day so unfortunately we were unable to investigate the Iron Age Settlement due to the ground being far to wet. We arrived early to have a quick look round the two houses, Jeannette (psychic artist) drew a gentleman in the farmhouse, and base line tests were done with nothing unusual showing up at all. Sue had very kindly provided us with tea and coffee, so whilst waiting for everyone to arrive we had a chat over some steaming mugs. The investigation started in Sues lounge; 9pm … We decide to set a trigger object up in the porch way before going into the lounge, and whilst Peter does this we assemble the portal and take it into the lounge and place it on a table. Two ladies are picked up on in here the names of Mary and Ethel. Jeannette gives the name of Ethel which Sue can accept. Jeannette is being given an aching head and feels either this lady would have suffered with them or someone close to Sue is getting them now. Jeannette also feels a light (orb) would have been seen in the lounge. Jeannette has drawn one of the ladies. The lady picked up by Lee, is a large lady 5’6 – 5’7 tight curly grey hair, wearing a long pinny with a pocket on the front. She wore gold rimmed glasses, and was constantly cooking. A ginger tom cat is by the side of her, Lee thinks the lady is Ethel. The ginger cat is grounded for some reason but is happy to be following Sue. He has been seen upstairs. He passed of natural causes. The name of Thomas is given and Lee feels he is connected to this lady; he wears a flat cap, beige jacket and trousers with brown shoes. They are not active just come in visitation. The years of 1910 – 1920 are given. Jeannette has a gentleman called John who again Sue recognises, he very quietly tells Sue not to worry and that she needs a hug, a little louder he tells Sue to “open your eyes woman!!” this is a personal message for Sue so we will not elaborate on it. There is an overwhelming feeling that John has to give Sue this hug, Jeannette asks if she minds being given the hug via her, Sue happily accepts it and seems surprised to feel an inner glow/warmth just as Jeannette says she should feel warm now. A true spirit hug!! Lee feels a presence of a small boy building up, Blonde almost white hair, aged approx; 5/6 years old, the poor lad is grounded searching for his mummy. His condition is that of whooping cough, and Lee feels this is how he passed. The year given is 1647. The name of Ellis Thomas. Not from a well to do family. As Lee gives his date Jeannette was impressed with an image of a boy a bit like Tiny Tim from Scrooge and the date 1789, that was all. He says the house is topsy turvy; it shouldn't’t be this way… Sue confirms that stairs were possibly different and the house had been changed. Meanwhile there are exclamations coming from Helen she seems to be getting very excited over something around where the portal is ….. A largish orb is seen on camcorder to be ‘dancing’ around near her and the portal the more she eagerly encourages it the more it moves. Kerry is cold and the temperature is fluctuating in this area by 2-3 degrees. This particular area is colder than the rest of the room and as the mediums feels the area where the orb was spotted they both start to tingle with energy. Others are encouraged to see what they sense and Sue has that sudden cold rush when spirit passes through you. It is strongly felt that this spot is a vortex allowing Sues spirit visitors in and out of her house. Lee says the boy would have been heard running through the house (Sue was going to ask other family members). Ellis does not realise he has passed over. Jeannette has been standing very upright and quiet whilst Lee was talking... Peter goes over to make sure she is okay… She is trying to be used as a channel by a gentleman. Sue is happy for her to allow this gentleman to talk through her and Jeannette’s guides allow this to happen. The man does not like us being in his house, he would like us to leave. It is decided that Lee asks him questions. The man tells Lee to stand to attention when addressing him, poor Lee every time he relaxed the gentleman told him off for slouching. Whilst Jeannette walked around the room seemingly able to see where she was going (her eyes were shut), Lee found out this man was an officer possibly family, who when he returned from world war one had been burnt, shell shocked and a shrapnel wound to the left shoulder and neck area. The man’s name is George, his dog is buster. He was not captured during the war but was still hurting by the fact he could not save his friend Dan from death, he had been in what passed for the officer’s mess when the accident happened. He was married, to Mary (the other name given first thing); she was unable to have children which he described as a blessing seeing that Mary passed early in life due to a riding accident. He likes the people who live here now but not the man who was there before he was very rude and had no respect for woman. The name of Smith is given, possibly George's surname. George tells us that several spirit walk in the house. George died of old age and loneliness; he loves this place and seemed to speak fondly of it. He was met by his mother when his time came, which surprised him as she had no respect for him when she was alive, he was one of nine children eight being boys and one girl. He has not met his wife in spirit yet. Jeannette feels this lady could be grounded because of her sudden and unexpected passing. Afterwards Jeannette silently asks her guides to come and collect Mary and reunite the two of them. George now leaves Jeannette, who opens her eyes and is surprised to find herself on the other side of the room! During the time in the lounge many orbs are captured on camera. It is decided time for a tea break before moving on to the old farmhouse. Whilst tea is being made Lee and Jeannette at Sue’s request get ready to move Ellis the boy over to meet his mother. Lee and Jeannette both have guides who are young males and call upon them to help, it is very touching and a privilege for us to watch the guides take Ellis’ hands and slowly walk him to his mother who is now standing in ‘the light’ waiting to receive him. We thank our guides for doing this and close with love and light. Whilst having tea Jeannette remarks about things being moved by spirit in the kitchen, to Sues relief she says she had been wondering if she had been getting forgetful as to where she had been putting things. Your okay Sue…it is Spirit. 10.50pm. We get ready to walk round to the old farmhouse, it is now raining and the wind is getting up. The farmhouse is undergoing complete renovation, there are no complete rooms as such and we have to be very careful with our footing as floors are incomplete and stairwells open. This house has a completely different energy to it; Sue’s house is warm and welcoming by both earthly and Spiritual realms. This house is not so nice, and as soon as you step over the doorway you feel eyes are watching your every move. The Mediums are pulled to go to the top floor first. Immediately Lee & Jeannette pick up on two spirits watching us. Lee calls out asking them to join us, nothing…. Jeannette calls out and they both start to feel the floor moving under them in a backward and forward motion very odd indeed. There is a burning smell... Sues dog is crying and seems to be uncomfortable about being up here. A spirit man is spotted in the far corner by Lee, photos are taken and orbs are present. The name of Keith is given, he does not want us here at all, the gentleman is standing by a chair again orbs are apparent when photos taken. It would appear he had a speech impediment, as he is making Jeannette slur and stutter over her words. We call out and ask Keith to do something to prove he is here but he stands there scowling at us, he looks very much like the character Harold from Steptoe and Son. There is a feeling of a woman standing behind Lee & Jeannette just watching. Lee & Jeannette feel that the floor level is not correct they are too high up! Sue agrees, the floor levels have been altered. A fight went on in this house over a woman. There is negative feeling due to the restoration work being done… spirit do not like it at all. The dog growls at the stairs and an orb is caught coming up the staircase. Name of Edgar is given. Lee asks him to walk across the floor; it turns icy cold by Lee. In response to being asked to make a noise a knocking sound is heard from the far corner of the room. We try an EVP and Lee calls out ….. We decide to move down a floor. We carefully make our way down with the feeling of constantly being watched. As Lee & Jeannette walk into the first ‘room’ they sense a man has followed Peter down the stairs and is standing right behind him. Helen calls out to him asking him to show himself or make a noise anything to give her proof he is there… he is getting cross, he does not like women, he gets angrier each time she talks to him. Edgar appears, he just says he worked there and went. We go to another room and the energy is quite sad. Lee picks up on a lady with really long straight black hair. She was anorexic, very very thin and drawn. The year of 1225 is given. She is wearing a full long skirt and top, very tight, and beige in colour. Her shoulders are very protruding. Her hair is bare no head garment at all. Lee feels she has been jilted, Jeannette is being pushed towards Lee by this energy and rather embarrassingly feels that she wants to kiss Lee…which then has us in fits of giggles it was noted that Lee and Jeannette backed away from each other quite quickly. Gathering themselves Jeannette asks why this is such a strong feeling and apparently Lee looks so much like this ladies lover. She was from a well to do family the lover was not, and as the family did not approve the lover was warned off, he took payment of gold coins. Sadly she had a baby boy by her lover but she drowned him in a nearby stream. And because of this she is grounded, her own punishment for her wrong doing. The name of Eleran (or similar) is given for the Lady, Jack for the lover and a surname of Farrington. The baby was called Lewis. Behind us Jan & Lee hear a piercing scream of a woman which sends shivers through Lee. Sue has a problem she feels hands around her neck, Jeannette goes to help and finds the man from upstairs has crept up behind her, he doesn't’t want to hurt her, just his way of saying ‘I’m here’ Behind him are a group of about seven others, Helen is capturing orbs as Jeannette explains what she see’s and a large orb is caught on Sue’s head, the dog is now staring and growling. Whilst this is going on Lee sends the lady over to the light, the baby and her lover come to collect her and release her anguish. Lee can hear men arguing in the next room. He and Jeannette walk in first and Sue, Kerry and Jan hear a noise downstairs and the dog growls just as Jeannette is told “wait till you get downstairs” Time to go downstairs to the under croft. Here we could smell smoke again, it is felt by several of us that Keith is sitting on the step ladder just watching us, and the temperature has dropped quite a bit. In asking for a response noises are heard, always behind us. Jan, Kerry and Danielle hear a low moaning noise. Sue and Jeannette get the feeling the ‘local villagers’ are peering through the window wondering what we are up to. No other information was received down here, just a general uneasiness. Time to finish the investigation which is done by thanking Spirit for interacting with us. We leave these wonderful old buildings with a tinge of regret, there are many layers of interest here and we feel that just the surface was broken. We thank Sue for her generous hospitality and hope we have enlightened her to some of her many Spirit friends she shares her lovely house with. |
