| 1ST GROUP ALLOWED TO INVESTIGATE DYLAN THOMAS BOATHOUSE 8th SEPTEMBER 2006. We would like to offer our thanks for being allowed to investigate this beautiful house. We did wonder (briefly) if we would be able to get to the house due to the unusual high tides that had been forecast for that evening, the car park in Laugharne was under water and also the walkway leading to the house, that didn’t deter us, we managed to go up the hill and find parking and walk down to the house and what a beautiful sight it was. We had limited time so were keen to get on … Helen’s team Upstairs display room, 9.15pm Lee picks up on a small boy aged appx; 5-6 years old, very dark thick curly hair. He passed due to a fall. His name Jeremy Bowen the year is 1867 and it is felt he was not connected to the house, but fell close by and is grounded here. Eirian is sitting by the window and his left side is cold and the right warm. Lee asks spirit to affect the temperature by him and gets the feeling of goose bumps. Lee picks up on a lady aged 78 years old, very slight about 5’8-5’9, who once cleaned this house. She passed with a cancerous condition and it is felt towards the stomach area. The year of 1928 is given. She lived in a house called ‘The Gatehouse’, her name is Mary Townsend she also cleaned Chapel Mill. Mary had five children 3 boys and 2 girls. She shows lee one of the daughters using a spinning wheel and the boys working as farm labourers. The youngest daughter passed aged 19 from pneumonia. Mary was the main earner. The name Jack is given and seen drinking from a tankard. Poor Mary did not have an easy life. We go into the room adjoining which has a television in it. After a few minutes Eirian calls out that he feels as if someone is standing by his side. Lee can feel energy there. The energy goes. A dull thud is heard from the top of the stairs. Eirian asks Lee to call out to Dolly Long an ex cleaner who passed away about 10 – 15 years ago. A few small taps are heard on calling out but nothing else. 11.40pm Kitchen. Whilst Lee is asking out a lot of noise is heard banging and walking about upstairs. We think it is the other group and after this happens a few times Helen goes upstairs to ask what they are up to. She is surprised to find no one upstairs the other group have in fact spent the last twenty odd minutes outside the house!! We hear footsteps clearly walking upstairs so we return to the upper levels. At 12.15am Helen sees a shadow figure standing by one of the display cabinets, which then moves to the adjoining room. A creaking of floorboards is heard, but no group member has moved. Helen is a sensitive and picks up the energy of a lady who had suffered a stroke. The year span of 1950 – 1953 is given. The stroke disfigured her face and local children would tease her about it, so much so that in despair she committed suicide by throwing herself off a cliff. Her name was Madeline. She made money by baking cakes. As Madeline draws back from Helen creaking floorboards are heard from the adjoining room. Peters team, 9.15pm Dining room. Two children a boy and girl are picked up as residual energy. A small thin man with ‘ratty’ type features is also n residual energy. Jeannette feels as if her head is in a large cobweb and Phil has cob webs down the left side of his face. Jeannette draws a young man but no information is given as to who he may be. Helen calls out for a sign, Jan and Helen feel sensations on their shoulders and neck and Helen feels she needs to keep clearing her throat. Her right hand feels hot. Her right hand temperature is 31.5c her left is 26.5c Jan moves away from the corner as she can no longer stand the fact that someone is playing with her shoulder, she swaps places with Phil. Phil also feels the same sensations and feels a pain in his chest. He says the names of William and Helen. Jeannette and Phil exchange seats and Jeannette is immediately boiling hot. Helen take a photo and a white zig zag streak and what appears to be a man’s head are shown, very odd as there was no physical person in the area she took the photo. Jeannette feels he either was a fisherman or enjoyed fishing. From Laugharne 1954. Kerry gets goose bumps on her legs. Jeannette has a pain in her head as if it is in a vice of some sort, also goose bumps up her arms. Jeannette feels someone who used to live her would have been spending a lot of their time in a drunken stupor, he is also angry and says “she didn’t know about it” on asking who didn’t know a name of Caitlin /Kathleen is heard. Jeannette’s head is still very painful and says who ever suffered from this would have also had problems with their eyes. Helen has chest pains. Phil thinks it is a man who had a massive heart attack and fell and banged his head. The conditions everyone is having/sharing would be consistent with a heart attack. Helen is sitting at one of the tables and has an urge to recite the Lords Prayer, she has a go! Not very religious our Helen! Kitchen 10.00pm Phil is hearing a male calling for his Cariad (welsh for love, sweetheart), also a female in residual is felt. Jeannette is drawn to the row of teapots and says they are moved have to be straight. She picks up on a lady 1950’s and feels that the man calling out would creep up to this lady and hug from behind. Jeannette is asked if she can ask spirit “was Dylan Thomas dyslexic”. The answer immediately came back as yes. Phil has a male spirit with wavy curly hair, dark brown slightly greying – ‘sophisticated’ he is told. Phil speaks out in Welsh and as none of us can speak the Welsh language and Phil has very little vocabulary in it Angela is called to the rescue. Angela asks... “What is the name of his cariad?” Answer … Caitlin Angela … “what is his name”? Answer … Dylan Angela …. “Why is he here?” Answer … If he was here today he would write about Phil, Angela says thank you and he laughs along with her. Angela … “Is there any one else in the house with you & Caitlin?” Dylan replies still in Welsh “well you are here!” Angela asks Dylan if he can talk through Phil in English as Phil can not speak welsh very well. Again in Welsh Dylan asks Angela if she would like a cup of tea. Phil turns round and says “pretty shitty city! For no reason what so ever. Dylan tells Phil he was from Swansea the same as Phil, Phil wants to know how Dylan knew he was from Swansea. Angela asks Dylan if he was dyslexic. Answer …yes it was like mirror vision. Dylan tells Phil he used to write in Cwmdonkin Park he enjoyed it there very peaceful watching the squirrels. Phil’s heart is pounding and he is having palpitations. Angela asks “what name is the graveyard where you are buried? Answer... Stupid question to ask, I am not there but here with you in the house! Tea break 11.00pm Parlour Jeannette has a headache and is drawn to the desk, she feels quite wistful whilst sitting there and gazing out of the window, she says the desk was very important to Dylan. Phil has cobwebs on his hair, he can hear rustling noises outside the room and says that someone would walk through as if the doorway was still in use. Phil says he feels that he wants to sing in Welsh. Phil is drawn to the telephone on the desk and asks Steve the member of staff with us permission to pick the receiver up, Phil picks up the receiver and listens Jan and Phil clearly hear a dialling tone, this freaks Jan out totally as the phone is NOT connected to anything in any shape or form. Phil & Kerry can smell baby powder outside the front door. Jeannette can see a spirit man leaning over the wall watching us. There is a spirit man who is outside the front door he would go and sit on the bench further along. He has come to see what we are up to, the names of Anthony is heard and also Ian & Edwina, by the three mediums. Jeannette and Phil are by the front window and both say “this house holds more sorrow than happiness” there is a drain/chute that runs outside and again both mediums feel of a tragedy with a child and his drain. Both Mediums pick up on a man’s suicide, dark haired, he jumped off the house and has been seen by people walking around. Confirmed by Steve and also the drawing Jeannette done earlier is apparently a good likeness of him. Both groups join up and go upstairs as voices have been head and people walking about. Helen’s radio goes off for no reason. A rocking chair can be heard downstairs in the parlour. Jan and Helen can hear the sound of big clumpy boots walking around outside (no one is out there). We all sit in the quiet and Helen hears “what are doing man? Sleeping on the job is it?” Lee Peter & Jan go into the parlour there is a child’s rocking chair there which had not been noticed before. Lee calls out and light anomalies are caught on camera and two dull thuds are heard. Lee calls out in welsh orbs are caught on camera and a knocking sound is heard and Lee has someone touching his right hand. Lee’s team go outside 12.45am Lee is feeling sick and feels as if he has head injuries, he says a person died of these injuries and can see ladders /scaffolding up to the roof. The man was a builder/carpentry confirmed again by Steve. Lee is then unfortunately interrupted and the link is lost. Jan and Angela hear the distinct ring of an old telephone… there’s only one and that’s not wired up and inside the house! THIS WAS AN EXCELLENT NIGHT AND A SHAME WE RAN OUT OF TIME. THE AUDIBLES WERE VERY LOUD AND QUITE FREQUENT. ONCE AGAIN WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO INVESTIGATE THIS WONDERFUL BUILDING. |
