| PARANORMAL INVESTIGATIONS IN WALES. What is PARANORMAL? What is a GHOST? Paranormal - simply means something beyond the range of normal experience or scientific explanation, and ghost - the soul of a dead person, a disembodied spirit imagined, usually as a vague, shadowy form, haunting living persons or buildings. Yet if we use these words in making enquiries for locations it is normally met with a sharp intake of breath, and a look of fear passing over an owners face. It is a fear of the unknown. If you can not see it, yet you can smell it, sense it, hear it, then you don’t want to believe it may be a 'ghost', and you become scared. A lot of groups use this factor to install fear into their investigations, and also the power of suggestion. How many times have you been on an investigation and been told the history of the building first with all the reports of ghost sightings, this means that before you even get to room ‘a’ or ‘b’ you are expecting to see the butler or knight in armour or to hear the wailing of the lady in white. Think about it, suggestion is a powerful tool for motivation or fear. Paranormal investigations have taken off massively in the recent years, mainly due to programmes like Most Haunted, you may be at a venue for 8 hours and get nothing, not a whisper or a draft. You may walk into a venue and be blasted with touches, and smells and that creepy feeling. No one can say what may or may not happen at an event. No one can guarantee ghostly goings on. There are good groups and bad groups out there and it is not for us to judge any other team. We do recommend teams we have personally worked with and always willing and open to work alongside new teams or groups. The Paranormal field should in our humble opinion work together. When a bad group falls foul of a venue the owners strike off all other groups, tarred with the same brush, this is unfair, so are the groups that have to undercut others and ‘take’ a venue that an individual group has worked hard to obtain, and so we feel we should be united in our quest to use all our individual talents to help others understand all that is beyond our normal senses; .... The Paranormal ..... A LITTLE BIT ABOUT US AS A TEAM We are a group of like minded and friendship related people based in Mid/South Wales. Our team has been running for seven years now and within this time we have completed many investigations both as public events and private ones. Many of our investigations are private homes and so although our events page looks as if we are quiet I can certainly say we are never that. We respect our clients wishes and therefore not all investigation reports are on the website. Some groups we had tried investigations with were not quite us, we totally disapprove of faking anything and so we decided to create our own investigation team. And this is what we are ... a team, no one is any better than anyone else, we all work together, loyalty to each other, spirit and the public are paramount for us as a team. Our main aim is exploring possible paranormal activity and trying to gain evidence, either for paranormal experience or debunking something. Hence the Ghost Investigation Team was formed. ... G.I.T for short.... I'm afraid this does typify our sense of humour. We like a laugh the same as anyone else, but take investigations seriously and with respect to our spirit friend. Our aim is to make you think twice about the possibilities of life after this one! Do we die and this is it? Or Do we exist as spirit in another time and dimension? The team at the moment stands with two Mediums, three sensitive’s, technicians, scribes, and team leaders, We document everything we do on the night of the investigation, photo’s, laser data, camcorder footage, scribing, tape / digital recordings. Our main ’tool’ is of course our Mediums who are all qualified in their specialist fields. In total our little team have a combined timescale of approximately 250 years of believe and self evidence of the paranormal. For actually working within the paranormal world we have a combined timescale of about 95 - 110+ years experience! As mad as this may seem when you add our ages up and how long each individual has had evidence personally and how long we have worked individually under the heading ‘paranormal’ we get these figures. . . That is scary. We have also had great success in assisting Spirits to move on from a building/area if they are upsetting a physical person or household, this is generally called cleansing or clearing. No one can guarantee to clear a house of unwanted spirits, or that spirit will not come back, after all why should they not retain free will? And no one can guarantee to give you evidence on the night of paranormal activity. If they do BEWARE they may not be doing it for the correct reasons. Nothing in the spirit world can be guaranteed. Nor is it in this life if you think about it. WE ARE A NON - PROFIT GROUP. Unfortunately this does not mean everything is free of charge, But what it does mean is we do only ask for minimum contributions to investigations. Normally only costs to hire a venue if we are charged for it, including insurance cover. And for private investigations we ask for a donation towards our cost of fuel, this in no way compromises you if you are unable to donate, we will not deny anyone help for the sake of money. We investigate possible haunted locations because it is a passion for the team, it is not a money making business. We will investigate anything at all, pubs, inn's, woods, hotels, museums, houses, mansions, castles, etc. If you think it is possibly haunted let us know. We also investigate private residences, so if you have a problem which is unexplainable and possibly paranormal, then send us an email in the first instance with details.
