COTTAGE MUSEUM

REPORT, PHOTO'S, VIDEO CLIPS.

PENRHOS COTTAGE.

We would like to thank Vic for allowing us access to the museum.
This was an early and short investigation and well worth it.
The orb phenomena that  Jeannette's group had in their room were the best to date. It is the first time light
anomalies have moved around to requests, and also told the medium and shown her exactly where and
who were going to show as a light.

The cottage

Built in early 1800’s Penrhos Cottage was the last inhabited thatched cottage in Pembrokeshire. ‘Ty un Nos’ or overnight house built
on common land in one night between sunset and sunrise the next morning. If the house was completed and had smoke rising from
the chimney by sunrise, the occupier could claim all the land within a stones throw of the door. This was very common in the 1700’s
and 1800’s. Penrhos was in the hands of the same family from the time it was built until it became a museum in 1971. The cottage has
3 rooms; parlour, kitchen and bedroom. The bedroom having been added in 1937.

6.30 – Parlour

Lee feels that the furniture in the cottage is not original to the place and that it has been brought in from elsewhere, this is confirmed
by Vic. Lee can sense the residual energy of an elderly couple and 4 children (one girl and three boys). They are sitting together in
front of the fire.
Glenys Isaacs and her husband Geraint  Isaacs. The children are their grandchildren, Thomas Edwards age 3, Edward Edwards age 5,
Samuel Edwards age 7 and Sian Edwards age 9. All the boys have dark hair and Sian has pure blonde hair. Glenys is the most active
here in the cottage, going about her daily duties. She is 4 foot 8, a round jolly lady wearing an apron over her dress and frizzy grey
curls poking out from under her white bonnet. The index finger on her left hand is missing, she is showing Lee a large heavy gate. She
was helping a friend to lift the gate into place when the hinge came down and crushed her finger. She lost the circulation and it had to
be amputated. She passed age 78 by catching an infection when she drank contaminated water. A large sandy coloured bull had died
further up the stream and the body had poisoned the water.
Geraint Isaacs was the original owner. He and some friends built the cottage overnight in 1820 (confirmed by Vic). He was 5 foot 3,
very slight build, wearing a flat cap, cream coloured shirt with granddad collar under a tanned leather waistcoat. His trousers are navy
blue and very long; so long they are bunched around his ankles over some much worn boots. He died a couple of years after Glenys. In
1872, he was age 97 when he passed over of natural causes. Lee calls out for a sign and we all hear a knocking sound and lots of
orbs are caught on camera.

Meanwhile Jeannette is in the bedroom with the other group. She is calling out for orbs to appear and they appear to command,
caught by Helen on camcorder. Jeannette asks for the orbs to change colour and they go from white to blue. There is a grandmother
here with
3 of her grandchildren plus a dog. The surname is Edwards. The grandmother shows herself to be 4 foot 8. When Lee and Pete enter
the room the spirits leave immediately as they don’t like men. The name Mary Thorne is given but no further information is supplied.
Jeannette is told that the chest of drawers belongs to Elizabeth. Someone who slept in this room would have suffered with a bad leg.
Lee and Pete leave the room, Jeannette asks for the lady and children to return as she does Helen catches 4 orbs coming through the
wall and as Jeannette is saying the dog is also coming Helen catches another orb on camcorder. Jeannette says that 2 more people
are coming through and Helen catches 2 orbs moving towards her. Jeannette is buzzing with energy and feels boiling hot. So the room
is full - there is a Grandmother, 4 children, a dog, horse, pig and sheep and don’t forget the cat! Well it was a farm and this bedroom
did not exist when these people lived here, they are seeing as it was so they are outside the cottage.

We decide to break for a cuppa as Jeannette’s energy is flagging.

7.10 – tea break. The name Gwilym Evans is given to Jeannette. See later on in report at end of investigation.

7.40 – back to the bedroom

A young lad appears to Jeannette, he about 12/13 years old, tall and skinny with ginger hair, Redhead he tells Jeannette not ginger! He
is a bit of a monkey and full of mischief, a cat appears with him. He is running around the room playing. He doesn’t see it as a bedroom
but as it was outside. His name is Matthew Evans; he didn’t live or work here he just helps out. He talks Welsh to Jeannette and says
that he helps his ‘Mamgi’ and ‘Tadgi’, luckily Angela can speak Welsh and tells Jeannette that this is his grandmother and grandfather,
he ‘casglu’ the eggs from the ducks and chickens. (Casglu is Welsh for collecting).
Jeannette asks him why they don’t like men and her tells her it’s because the men bait the badgers and do cock fighting. Matthew tells
Jeannette that him and his friend Morgan like to run across the road when a car is coming, the drivers stop the cars thinking that they
had run over a child…but there is no one there. Matthew thinks this is hilariously funny. Matthew runs off to get his friend Morgan who
is collecting blackberries from the hedge across the road.

8.00 - We have another short break and then at 8.10 Lee, Pete and Jan go into the bedroom.

Lee picks up on a little girl age7/8. She tells Lee her name is Roseanne Jenkins. She is wearing a tall black ‘welsh lady’s’ hat and a
shawl over her dress. She lived further down the lane and the cottage did not exist then. Her pony was in a field nearby. Year given is
1678. She was an only child to Joseph and Annie Jenkins. Joseph owned tin mines in Llanwrda, the mines were on his land but to
finance the business he went into partnership with 3 friends. Roseanne is skipping up the lane to see her pony; she is picking hay and
feeding the small pony. She loved horses and had no fear of them. She was 12 years when she passed, she replays her death: she
went onto the field to see her pony and there were around 20 other horses there, something startled them and they stated running,
she didn’t sense any danger but got too close to the horses and they trampled her to death. She is not grounded here. Her pony was in
the field that Penrhos cottage was built on. Pete’s camera suddenly turns itself off. At this point Lee and Pete leave the bedroom and
Jeannette comes back in.
Matthew comes back in with Jeannette, he is trying very hard to show himself to us. He really wants us to see him and asks Jeannette
to hold his hand…this she does, but as Jeannette’s guides tell her to be ready for Matthew to be shown, Matthew gets scared and
runs off. Jeannette is very hot and when Jan feels her hand where she was clasping Matthew’s it is sticky not sweaty. This is unusual.
The stickiness lasts for a couple of minutes and goes. Matthew returns, a loud click in the corner of the room is heard by all of us.
Matthew is telling Jeannette that he passed when he was age 14, he just woke up one morning and had left his body in bed. He does
not know what year it is as he cannot read or write. He does know that there is a Queen, he does not agree with a woman ‘ruling the
world’. (The cottage was here when he died and as it was built in 1820 it is probably reasonable to assume that the Queen he is
referring to is Queen Victoria). The room goes icy cold around Jeannette and when Jan stands near her she feels a gust of wind blow
across her face. Kerry also notices the change in temperature. Matthew then leaves the room and runs off down the hill behind the
cottage.

We all convene to the parlour to collect our equipment. A small framed ‘In Memoriam’ certificate is on the wall near the fireplace. It is
announcing the death of L/C Gwilym T Evans on the 24th September 1917 in the First World War, he was aged 28.

All the spirits in the cottage loved the place so much when they were here, that they come back and visit.
No one is grounded and there is no negative energy here at all.

If you wish to visit this lovely museum please get in touch with Scolton Manor to book a visit.

.
WE HAVE HAD SO MANY LIGHT ANOMALIES ON THIS INVESTIGATION IT IS IMPOSSIBLE
TO SHOW THEM ALL, AS AN EXAMPLE IN THE FIRST 20 MINUTES OF FILMING  THERE
WERE 24 ORBS!! AND THE EVENING ONLY GOT BETTER!!
