PRINCE OF WALES WITH FILM CREW PEMBROKE
|
THE PRINCE OF WALES LAWS STREET. PEMBROKE DOCK 20.06.09.
History of Pembroke dock.
Steeped in military and naval heritage, Pembroke Dock did not exist before 1814. It came into
being purely as a result of the decision to locate a naval dockyard on land owned by the Meyrick
family of Bush. Shipwrights and carpenters, blacksmiths and riggers flocked to the new yard from
villages on the Haven and from other dockyard towns, notably Plymouth. They and their families
needed to be housed, and Pembroke Dock rapidly grew in classic grid-iron style, the pattern of
streets still very much apparent today. The Royal Air Force's arrival in 1930 brought hope to a
community still reeling from the closure of the Royal Dockyard four years earlier. The sheltered
Haven waters were ideal for the operation of flying-boats and the newly-formed No 120 Squadron
flew here in June 1931. Pembroke Dock suffered terrible bomb damage during the war,
particularly during the air-raids of May 1941, and gaps in the terraced streets still indicate where
the bombs fell. Particularly badly hit was the Criterion corner on London Road, where the Pier
Hotel was destroyed by a parachute mine. Other areas to bear the brunt were Laws Street, the
lower part of Gwyther Street, Bush Street, Queens Square and the Market Street/ Princes Street
area.
THE INVESTIGATION.
An unusual investigation to say the least. Upon arrival Jeannette did not feel right, suddenly
lethargic and the start of feeling cross. Putting it down to a hectic week and busy day with no time
to relax before the investigation she thought no more about it …. We think she should have!!!
Jeannette was suddenly in a very bad mood or as Julie sums it up she had attitude! We will do
Jeannette and Julies report separately to this main one.
Jeannette would keep wandering off which made it hard to write things down. We will explain
later.
We had four spirits with us at the séance/Ouija board all fighting to talk and thus it became very
confusing as nothing made much sense. One spirit Rose moved into the light of her own accord
once her plight had been understood. This left us with Rick/Richard Rose’s father. A Victorian
woman called Florrence/Florrie and for all intents and purposes Florrie’s perpetrator Thomas who
was, using today’s language, the pimp.
We choose one of the attic bedrooms for our hub. Then a walk around and a lock off camera
placed in room 8.
10.40 start
Room 6,
The feeling of being watched by spirit but no communication. Steve picks up on a spirit gentleman
in his 70’s and he gives Steve the number 7. His name is Derek. There is a general feeling of being
watched. Nothing else is forthcoming.
10.50
Room 7,
Steve senses a female energy.
Julie and Jeannette feel as if they have just walked through a thick cobweb and Julie can feel an
energy by the side of the wardrobe.
Steve feels spirit close by but not able to link in. He stands by the wardrobe and gets the image of
a man with facial hair and a big belly wearing a navy jacket. He shows Steve the letter A. Another
spirit pops in plays the banjo and leaves! Steve keeps seeing a question mark but can not
understand why.
Meanwhile the gent in the navy jacket shows Steve he passed with a high temperature, Jeannette
and Debbie both have palpitations and wondered if the fever bought on a heart condition. It is
felt the man may have lived and died here. 1840 is given.
Jeannette sees a hearse pulled by two black horses, linked to the building.
Steve sees the number 4 and adult footprints. Jeannette says footsteps would have been heard on
the stairs
Steve has a headache and Jeannette and Julie have pounding hearts
Both footprints and footsteps were later confirmed as happening.
Steve has a headache and Jeannette and Julie have pounding hearts.
The gent in the jacket is linked to the sea, he either lived here or spent a lot of time here. He
played golf and was well known for it. Jeannette gets the name Charles Andrews.
Cellar 11.20
Jeannette and Julie are told by a male energy that has been giving them grief all week that he will
wait for them back upstairs and then goes. They return upstairs shortly after.
Steve being shown unfinished business, he is very anxious and emotional. Evidence has been
removed. Debbie picks up on an accident by the chute, barrel of some sort a keg, serious. Horse
drawn carriages and O’Neill.
The pumps are going off no one is near them and they should only do this if someone is pulling a
pint.
Dining Room 11.30
Five brothers.
A boat up on rocks, anchor down. 1890 documents will show this.
Tea break. catch up on Jeannette and Julie
12.10 Bar,
séance using glass, letters and numbers.
Steve blesses the table and protects everyone. He invites spirit to draw close and communicate.
A male spirit comes through and spells out Rick, he is linked to the building and says he has been
with Jeannette tonight.
He leaves.
Steve calls out again, someone linked to the building who lived here.
Q; did you live here
A; no
Q; can you spell your name
A; no
Q; do you not want us to know who you are.
A; GO spelt out
He then tells us via the letters we are in danger from someone who will come through later, it is
not him. They have already affected the person and it may get worse.
Steve thanks him for the warning. He then calls out for the spirit affecting Jeannette to come
through. He is the same energy that has been linking with Jeannette, he wants to harm her,
Q; why
A; Whore spelt out
Steve hastily explains that no way on this earth is Jeannette a whore but the spirit is angry. We
are not sure but a couple of us feel he leaves then.
The initials WF are given Steve asks if we can help him.
It is suggested the initials may stand for William Frederick a previous landlord.
We are not sure about this information as none of it seems to tie in, although Julie and Jeannette
may have the answer to this in their report.
(We now have some controversies. As names & details do not match up, but we write as we find
and hope that the other report will explain all. )
A male spirit ran women (Florence) from this pub, Jeannette reminds him of one of these women.
She (Florence) left and this caused him to get angry, (Rose)1938. She died on the stairs not
pushed it was an accident. 1939 she died (Rose). She was not married to Richard, a daughter her
initials possibly SH ( SH is someone totally different and we never found out about them).
The name Rose is given so again does not tie in with the initials. (A young lady accidentally killed
falling down the stairs).
Jeannette starts to swap the letters on the table, spacing them out and getting agitated if anyone
does not do it right. Steve calls out again, a very angry spirit comes in. Julie asks for the spirit lady
who is affecting Jeannette to talk. Rose is her name, in her 20’s when she passed over. (Florence
jumps in)She had to work here, no children. The male spirit (Thomas) earlier controlled her. Julie
asks if there is a message. She is still very angry, she’s knows she’s dead but not angry at that
fact. She does not want to move on. She (Florence) was unhappy and the man who employed her
pushed her down the stairs, she was killed for knowing to much.
Steve asks Rose (except it is now Florence)to step out of Jeannette’s energy she wants us to get
rid of the male spirit as he still affects her. She does not want to move on. She will never leave
here.
She still has family here (Rose). She can not spell (Florence). Julie asks her to speak through
Debbie or Steve but she refuses. The image of a family tree is shown to Steve and a see-saw
symbolic for coming into balance. (Rose may have had)nieces and nephews here, they are in
spirit, one of the children are lost (Florence’s miscarriage), Steve says they are okay as in the light.
Men annoy her and Steve is doing just that (not intentionally) Steve goes to take the glass away
and close the séance but Jeannette/spirit grabs the glass and slams it back on the table, Steve
goes to leave the table but Jeannette grabs his arm and pulls him back onto the stool then turns
her back on him. Florence likes jewellery and keeps looking at Julies ring. Hers was stolen from
her and this makes her angry, it was sentimental to her possibly given/stolen in/for payment.
She is asked to leave Jeannette but stubbornly refuses to. She says no Jeannette knows why, she
wants to stay with Jeannette forever. Steve tries to question more but Jeannette gets up and
walks off ? Possibly with both female spirits in tow as neither liked men and Steve was becoming
demanding, something neither women wished to put up with anymore.
We have a break.
Jeannette yet again has returned to the attic bedroom, Peter is trying to get past the spirit that’s
using Jeannette but no joy, he questions her but is getting nowhere. Jeannette is getting bored
and decides to ignore peter by opening the window and staring out, thus blotting him out totally. .
Julie comes into the room and it seems as if Jeannette (the spirit) hears her voice and wants to
talk to her. All of a sudden Jeannette asks when we are going to start the investigation and has
anyone set up a table for séance/Ouija board. She’s back, Julie gently questions her and
Jeannette has no recollection what so ever from appx 10.30 until now which is 1.05am.
Jeannette remembers going into one of the second floor bedrooms picking up on air crew/service
men feeling very sick and leaving the room, from then on no recollection at all. This is when
Florence/Florrie entered.
Jeannette gets the name of Florence over and over again, and the image of a young girl sitting on
a bed in white bloomers and calico chemise. w Julie mentions Rose, Jeannette smells smoke, Jan
can also smell the smoke. Rose has told her secret and walks into the light with very little help.
Meanwhile (whilst this has been happening) Steve had been attacked on the stairs by a spirit man
with a dagger and three henchmen (we now know this was the pimp (Thomas) of Florence’s and
his side kicks), Steve has pain in his stomach, the man has bought his mates. Steve manages to
block them and takes a photo, what appears to be a mans face seems to be in the mirror.
Jeannette meets Steve on the stairwell and warns him he is in danger, Steve does not take this on
board and thinks he has already dealt with it (very wrong) Florence has returned to Jeannette
and curtly tells Steve to listen to her. The men are still there.
Return to bedroom 1
Steve sees a Spitfire crashing, Jeannette feels it went into water, Yvonne says it could well have
been the Haven. Again Jeannette is seeing WWII soldiers and sailors.
Steve has a spirit energy, male about 4’6” stocky bloke tall as he is wide. Feeling of mining
possibly the quarry’s, dust affecting him and a coracle being shown. An old fashioned bus is
shown and this spirit gentleman is driving it. 1920’s pre war.
Julie and Jeannette are rocking as if on board a boat in a hurricane, they both feel nauseous as
well. They both say there is a man here and Steve has upset him by disrespecting his daughter
(Rose).
Steve calls out to spirit and the two girls get the giggles. Julie turns to Steve and says “ You don’t
know as much as you think you do” Julie is never this blunt and we have figured out that it was
not Roses dad in the room as we all thought but the pimp one of the Dockers who is Florence’s
murderer.
This is the room Jeannette walked out of and lost nearly three hours in time. Roses father is here
and wants to hurt Steve, he places a rusty chain around his neck and Steve feels as if he is being
kneed in the back. Julie feels that possibly the spirit man killed then wrapped the bodies in chain
and sunk them in the water.
Helen asks who this mans sidekicks are and promptly gets told to shut up. He is showing Steve
fireworks, he is threatening Steve. A nasty piece of work.
Jeannette says he is a coward … no response
He tells Steve that Peter is a worm eater!!! No idea what this may mean and he does not embellish
on it. Then he says “threatening” just one word. Steve becomes agitated and calls to his guides.
One of this mans henchman has long black curly hair and from the back could be mistaken as a
woman. Also a scar on his face. All his friends are strong and are powerful in all ways.
Builders/Dockers, one throws a dart as symbolic possibly meaning you haven’t hit the target yet.
1784 and 1909 are dates given.
Work on boats. Steve is shown an archway linked with boats this is correct. The owner wants him
moved on but Jeannette disagrees with Steve on this one, she says he can still come back and
would become more powerful if he did return. So it is agreed that if for any reason he ‘kicks’ off
the owner will call us back to sort him out.
Evening ends at 2.45am
Julie and Jeannette’s report.
On the following Monday after the investigation Julie meets up with Jeannette to fill her in on the
lost hours. Florence travelled home with Jeannette and we realise we have to ask the spirit to talk
to us or she will be very hard to move on.
We both feel Florence move in closer and Julie hands Jeannette her ring which Florence found so
interesting on the Saturday. Florrie is here very strong, angry and making us feel dizzy.
Here is her story;
Florrie's mum and dad were happily together when an unfortunate accident in the quarries killed
Florrie’s dad. Her mum was taken into the pub/hotel to clean. The family stayed in some upstairs
rooms. Florrie stayed with her mother and brother who was older than her until her mum passed
away. The owner Thomas could now use Florrie to earn her keep. Florrie tells us her brother just
disappeared soon after her mothers death, she is angry with him for abandoning her. Julie feels
he was murdered, he had seen to much and this also left the way clear for the pimps to do as they
wished with Florrie, a handsome young girl of just 15 years of age.
Jeannette is given the awful vision of Florrie's introduction to the world of sexual torture. Florrie
is tied to the bed and drugged with laudanum there are several men on and around her, this is
awful enough but they are also holding her brother in front of her as they do their acts, he
witnesses it all and is powerless to help, silently she screams at him to help her but she can only
see him standing watching, tears running own his face and then he is never seen again.
He tells us he was bludgeoned wrapped in chains and thrown into the Haven, he had seen to much
and they knew he would never keep quiet.
Thomas took Florence’s ring. Her last link to any of the family now she knew there was no hope.
Florrie's brother was called Jack a couple of years older than her and like her had light blond hair.
His clothes seemed too big for his small and slight yet strong frame. A very loyal and protective
young man.
Florence was searching for him to ask why he had disappeared and left here there.
She now tells us exactly what happened to her.
Born Florence but always known as Florrie, she had dwelt in the hotel with her mother and
brother after her dad had passed. Her mother had always disappeared at night and returned with
coins or food or even jewellery, they had no idea how she had procured these items but were
grateful for any food it put on the table. Her mother got sick and passed with a fever, this seemed
to infuriate the man she knew as Thomas and he swore revenge.
Her brother had disappeared and Florrie was bleeding and felt very ill, her head was drenched in
sweat. She could not take the pain anymore, and tells us that Thomas had seemed to abandon her
and she thought she was going to die. But he returned after 10 days, she had fought the fever …
but in many ways she wished she had died with it for the horrendous things that happened then
were nothing to being sick.
Thomas and his men came for her, tied her to the bed and used her time and time again, she was
then left for some time. On march 17th 1824 she was taken from her room downstairs and
thrown into a room naked like a piece of meat being thrown to the dogs. 10 men were waiting for
her including a Priest, he was the worst and she can not even begin to describe what he and the
others done to her defenceless body. After what seemed an eternity she wished for death. She
must have passed out, she remembers being dragged by her left arm up stairs to her room and
the door shutting, and the raping beginning again. When would it ever stop? All went quiet and
the room was left empty bar from Florence’s pitiful bleeding and battered body. Then some time
after hearing the heavy footfall of more than one man, Thomas and the others stood in the
doorway, she screams and feels a sharp thud and feeling very woozy she is dragged to the
stairwell and over the banisters she goes, a crack on the head from a post and no more she is
dead. Peace or so she hoped at last. We feel her body was buried possibly under the cellar floor .
But Florence’s anger with the men and her brother defies death, she knows these men whether in
the living or in the spirit will always attack and abuse women. They don’t care sex is all they want.
So her pact is to seek them out and warn others, her brother she can not forgive and it is this that
also holds her back from moving over to the spirit realms.
She tells us she will never rest whilst these men wander, and warns us that those stupid enough
to recall them back in will be dicing with the devil himself.
We explain about her brother, Julie can sense him stepping forward hesitantly we tell her
everything that happened, Julie is feeling their emotions welling up, her whole energy starts to
relax and slowly they walk towards each other to listen and embrace all those lost and
misunderstood years.
In the early hours of Tuesday Julie has been dreaming of Jack, he is trying to tell her where his
body was placed but she is unable to see the numbers he is trying to show. At 3.25am Julie sees
an amazing white light and feels Jack go. On seeing Jeannette later in the day she is saddened to
hear that Florrie did not go.
But we feel that maybe Jack has gone to pave the way for Florence. Jeannette is certain once
Florrie’s story has been typed she will move on.
A very confusing night.
Jeannette did have everything she needed in place spiritually wise. She and Julie knew something
was amiss, as all week they had both been affected by energies at home and at work which they
could not explain but had the knowing it was linked to Saturdays investigation. Jeannette’s guides
had told her not to worry if she did not feel them around as this one was not their fight!
Being busy Jeannette forgot all about this conversation and only now does it make sense.
Jeannette has spent a lot of her time helping people who have been abused, she is a qualified
psychic counsellor and has excellent empathic qualities. These spirit women would never have
spoken to a man about their lives, both Jeannette and Julie (also with excellent empathic qualities)
deal with the vulnerable, they would understand. (We do now we have pieced it all together).
All the walking off back to the attic room was Florence trying to get away from the men.
The negative energies remain, able to come and go at their leisure we have asked our guides to do
their best so that no one in the physical or spiritual worlds are harmed by these energies.
As I finish writing this I am hearing Florrie saying thank you and a bright light surrounding her as
her brother steps forward they are smiling.
We ask that God in his wisdom will look after these two beautiful souls.
Spirit now identified;
Rose daughter of Richard passed in 1939 from an accidental fall down the stairs.

Thomas Victorian pimp
Florence known as Florrie abused by Thomas and others.
3 / 4 henchmen
Jack - Florrie's brother

Derek previous landlord
Postscript
It took Julie and Jeannette another 6-8 weeks to sort out the various spirits from this location, to
hear their stories and help them to help themselves over to the spirit world. Some of the stories
are horrific and both Julie and Jeannette were horrified and upset at the accounts these poor
spirit men had endured in their earthly lives. They would only speak through the Ouija board
which strongly suggests to us that they were bought into the pub via this tool. Hence the need to
mention …never ever use any divination tool to ask spirit to join you, you are opening a doorway
to the unknown. We are very experienced in using certain ways to communicate with spirit and it
is only through years and years of training that we do what we do!
Julie and Jeannette spent many hours helping these poor souls and although any spirit can return
as they all have free will we felt the majority of them will remain in the spirit realms …all save one
… Thomas will return but he is a lot weaker now and providing no one calls him back and feeds
him energy he will do no harm. … but we shall wait and see.
